Class Quickie

Good afternoon!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend and that wherever this post finds you, you're warm and comfy.

Today I just wanted to poke my head in and share another creation from the Online Card Class: Stretch Your Dies, that i'm currently participating in.  This card uses a partial die cut technique to make a peekaboo window for my sentiment.

To create some interest around my die cut, I used my mini ink blenders to create a blended strip of rainbow.  I originally had this as a horizontal layout but when I didn't like how it had turned out, I turned it on its head and loved the almost sunset vibe that I got out of it.

I wanted to add a bit of pizazz but didn't want to include anything that would be too busy as my glossy black ring was quite heavy on the card so I pulled out some light colored and clear sequins  and silver stars from Neat & Tangled and Papertrey Ink, to mimic those early stars you see at dusk.

The inside on this one would be hard to forget since your sentiment is actually on the inside of your card and just peeking through but to jazz it up a bit I added a couple more of those silver star sequins to ground my word and bring the sparkle in.  Oh, and the word was die cut from some ink blending I did with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I love how easy it was to create this ombre style with that I have on hand!

While I'm at it, this card is being entered into the following Challenges:

Well, that's it for me.  Off to take a peek at today's class and craft some more!  Here's hoping you've got some inky time lined up soon.

With hugs until next time,
