Hugs

Morning!

Today's card was inspired by a friend of mine who's been having a tough time. In situations where I'm not quite sure how to help, I always find a handmade card is a great way to remind someone that you're thinking of them, wishing them well and that you're there when they need you.

The focal point of this card is a little squirrel digi stamp by an artist I can't yet place (but I'll edit this post the second I remember!!). He is so cute and deserves every ounce of praise he can get.  I had started coloring him for some color therapy and just knew he would brighten my friend's day.

I wanted to mount him on black cardstock, but wanted him to pop up so I diecut some vellum to provide a soft backdrop.  My sentiment is cut from self colored ombré paper with one of those beautiful dies from Papertrey Ink. I mounted the sentiment on a banner that I cut with my Cricut. To finish off my card face, I arranged a number of Lawn Fawn leaf diecuts in various greens around the banner to give the feel of a leaf pile!

I had some leaves left over so I used them to create a little "leaf-pile" fun on the inside too.

And there you have it! A little sunshine to brighten your day. Thanks so much for stopping by. Sending hugs until next time.
