Mother's Day...continued!

Okay, so I know Mother's Day here in Canada and over in the US was this past Sunday, and ultimately I created cards for five mothers!! The downside of course is that mothers, as supportive as they are, are the most likely to check out our blogs/post etc! Soo I posted sparingly then and will go on to share the rest with you today and in future. Some of these ideas would be great to CASE for many other occasions!

Today's card delves into texture and layers.  I used the new Simon Says Stamp pale blush pink ink pad to tint my modeling paste and then used that over my Morocan Tiles MFT stencil. (I loooove that stencil)

While my background dried, I diecut some stitched circles from white cardstock and vellum. I diecut the Happy script from Mama Elephant and used my pale blush pink ink pad again to add color to the script. I then stamped the "mother's day" sentiment with the same ink on my white cardstock circle.

I added some gold thread between my circles and popped them both up with some foam tape for a bit of added dimension. For a little more bling, I added some Neat and Tangled sequins and then mounted it all on a white cardstock card base.

As I write this post, I'm staring directly at my barely packed suitcase. That means that I'll be away this weekend for my stagette (yay!).  As I don't know enough about my trip to plan wi-fi stops, and as I'm sure we'll have more than enough to do in Vegas, I will be taking a short blog break over the weekend for my festivities.  But rest assured I'll be back next weekend to share some more creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by, it really means a lot. Wishing you a wonderful weekend full of sunshine and laughter! Sending hugs until next time,

~Lolo
