Good
morning!
I hope
this post finds you warm inside with a cup of tea or coffee or freshly returned
from an active jaunt - or crafting!
Let's be honest, I hope this finds you wherever your heart is fullest!
Today's
card was inspired by and made for my soon to be mother-in-law (yay!) and my new
Altenew stamps. If you follow me on
Instagram, you will see that I was playing around with these stamps and various
ink combinations last week. Ultimately I ended up with a few that I loved
enough to add to this card (the yellow is my favorite but shh, don't tell the
orange one).
I used my
mini ink blending tool and some pink ink over a stencil to create a reverse
ombré background on my card front. I diecut a couple circles from some vellum
to give my flowers something more to pop up against.
I
recently picked up the Caliope die from Simon Says Stamp and have been playing
around with it in various colors so I wanted to add it behind my flowers to
create a little fullness. Almost
everything is popped up with foam tape (including my sentiment) to add some
really great dimension.
To finish
it off, I added a few dots of glossy accents above and below the flowers to
replicate dew or rain drops. And there you have it! A flower-y Moroccan
birthday greeting!

News
flash! As you may know, I'll be getting married this summer (yay!). As we get
closer to the date, I have more and more projects to complete that are wedding
related, which means lots of time and no sharesies - well at least until after
the wedding goodness is over. So for the next 3-4 months I'll be decreasing my
number of posts to twice weekly to allow
the extra time I need for the wedding craziness. I'll still be around, and
creating up a storm but the writing about it the part I'll have to cut back on
temporarily. Thanks for your understanding as I prepare for the biggest day
(and party) of my life thus far! I'm looking forward to sharing all the crafty
details and oh boy are there lots. I may have to do my first series to cover it
all!
As
always, thank you so much for stopping by and supporting me on my crafty
journey. It means more than words will ever be able to express. Wishing you a
wonderful start to your week and sending you hugs until next post!
