Good morning!
Today I have another
beauty inspired by the Stretch Your Dies class.
Towards the end of class we
focused on using mini dies. To my
surprise, I had to dig to find something
suitable. Ultimately I noticed that my Stitched Circles die set contained one
teeny tiny circle which would totally work!
I decided to try the technique which had us accenting patterned papers
so when I came across this bright polka dotted paper, I knew it was the
one.
To create my card
base, I diecut my polka dotted paper and some white card stock with my Stitched
Rectangles dies.
To create some extra
interest, I die cut some tiny circles over some of the polka dots and then laid
my patterned paper over my white card stock on an angle. When I was happy with the placement, I took
some small starburst stamps from my Papertrey Ink Shakers + Sprinkles stamp set
and stamped them into the voids with Versamark Watermark ink. Next, I very carefully removed my patterned
layer and applied some yellow embossing powder over the little
startbursts. After heat setting my
starbursts, I started applying foam tape to the back of my patterned paper and
then carefully lined it up over my embossed card stock.
The sentiment was
stamped in black and turquoise pigment ink on vellum and heat set. Once the ink was dry, I fussy cut the
sentiment and applied it to my card face with a little bit of glossy accents.
Lastly,
I chose a blue piece of card stock for my card base. After scoring and folding
my base, I adhered my white card stock layer to it with some glue runner.
I
love how fun and bright this card ended up being. It didn't last long in my card stash and has
already made a very lovely birthday girl smile. Hope it does the same for you.

card is being entered into the following Challenges:
