Good morning!
I don't know about you but daylight savings is doing a number on me this year. Although a part of that may be the fact that our kitchen clock has run out of batteries, leaving us thoroughly confused as to the time of day. Thank goodness for our electronics :)
I've found myself very inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week - Special Lady/Girly! I did already make a girly card but as I poked around in my craft corner this weekend I decided to play around with some pastel colours and the stackable WPlus9 heart dies I recently ordered. I am so happy I did because I just love what I came up with.
I cut my pink, white and vellum rectangles with my Simon Says Stamp Stitched rectangles dies. I love the way the off-set vellum sheet adds a soft layer of dimension between my pink polka dots and my white rectangle.
I knew that I wanted to offset the hearts to create a bit more interest so I applied pop-dots to the tops of the hearts, while adhering the bottom of the hearts to my card with some glossy accents. To finish this one off, I heat embossed my sentiment onto some vellum which I had coloured a pale pink to help my sentiment stand out. After die cutting my vellum into a banner, I adhered it to my card face with some glue dots. And there you have it! Polka dotted, heat embossed and girly!
Speaking of which, I am entering this card into the following challenges:
